Dear Parents / Guardians,

The P.A. is organizing a Staff Appreciation Luncheon on May 15. We are collecting monetary donations at this time. Suggested donation is $10.00 – $20.00 per family. Please make all checks and money orders payable to the PA of PS 193. Cash donations are accepted as well. We need your help to make this event a success! The theme for this year is: “Tea Party”.

If you would like to donate your time for this event, that would be greatly appreciated. Please contact us at ps193fundraise@gmail.com to volunteer.

Brooklyn Cyclones Baseball Game Outing Spring 2013

Dear P.S. 193 family,

We are holding a Brooklyn Cyclones fundraiser, going on now! You have received a letter and an order form in your child’s bookbag. For each ticket sold, P.S. 193 PA will receive 20%.  Please make all checks payable to the PA of PS 193.

Last day to submit ticket order form: Friday – May 17, 2013!

Join us for the Fathers’ Club outing at the Brooklyn Cyclones game Saturday, June 22 at 6:30 pm.

Mother’s and Father’s Day Boutique 2013!

Dear families,

P.S. 193 will hold its Mother’s and Father’s Day boutique from Tuesday, May 7 to Thursday, May 9, 2013. We need parent volunteers for this event. Volunteers are needed to set up in the morning, help children shop for their gifts and help clean up in the afternoon. To volunteer, please email ps193fundraise@gmail.com .

Please refer to the chart below for the day and time your child’s class will be shopping. You are welcome to join your child’s class and shop along with them. Gifts will range in price from $3.00 to $15.00 each. Thank you for your continued support of the P.A. of P.S. 193. All money raised goes directly to providing enrichment activities for our children.

Please place all money in a sealed envelope marked with your child’s name and class. Have your child bring it in on their scheduled shopping day.

Audience Choice Movie Night April 27, 2013!

Earlier this year, we ran a poll in the school to determine what to show at the Winter Movie Night. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” won in a landslide, and Madagascar 3 was the runner – up. Since that time, another exciting movie came out on DVD: Wreck-It-Ralph! On April 27, we will present the audience a choice between these two movies. The winning movie will be shown. Come prepared to vote for your favorite movie right at the entrance!

Saturday, April 27, at 4 pm. Doors open at 3:30 pm.

P.S. 193 Has an Olympian!

On Friday March 29th 2013, Zaakyaa Young of Class 4-510 won the Bronze Medal for the USA at the 2013 USA Junior Olympics held in Las Vegas, Nevada. With over 70 countries involved, Zaakyaa finished 3rd in Karate competition. Congratulations to Zaakyaa Young!
